Why does my hair stand on end when I put my tongue into the electrical outlet?

You are attracting microwaves from the distant gallaxy wrydzhou. Try putting your feet into a bucket of water BEFORE your tongue goes into the socket.

Start asking him for money. He'll be gone in no time.

Dear Inquiring Eye:
Okay I have the usual question, how do I approach and talk to the guy I like question. Only one thing is I don't have much confidence in myself, and I am a very shy person. I am afraid of what he will think, and feel it would be random if I just walk up and say hi. This guy is in my health and gym class...and advice is truly needed!

You dont need to actually HAVE confidence to portray confidence. The more you practice, the better you get. Start by making a casual remark when you see the guy. "Did you have trouble with this assignment?" "Are you taking gym next year"...See how he reacts. If he shows interest, make your next remark more personal, but ABOUT HIM. People love to talk about themselves and are naturally attracted to others who will listen.

I seek romance, passion, desire. Should I pursue or continue to play it safe and boring?

Go for the 'natural look'. Guys are intimidated by too much make-up and fancy hair. Also, unless you are trying to send sexual come-ons, watch what you wear.

Chronic fear can cause the body (esp. the intestines) to emit a foul odor. (Hence the term, 'no guts'). Wash regularly and practice your social skills. Mother Earth isn't going to hurt you.

Dear Inquiring Eye:
I've ben friends with this guy for 6 years, and we're really close, and i love JUST being friends with him, but i recently found out he likes me, than he asked me out and without thinking i said yes, cause i didn't wanna like crush him, cause i know he's never had a girl friend, then i found out he's liked me ever since he met me, and i really don't feel that way about him. We've been "going out" for about a month and a half, and now i reallylike this other guy. I've fine with talking to guys and all but now i feel all guilty about it. how do I break up with him, and not hurt him?

Sometimes, sadly, there is no question that you're going to hurt him. The only real thing you have control over is...HOW MUCH. Be considerate for his dignity. Tell him the truth about how you always loved him as a friend, Tell him that you dont feel comfortable with this turn your relationship has taken. You are just not ready to be anything other than friends, right now. Say that anything else would be a lie, and you have too much respect for him to lie. After that, dont just blow him off when you see him, Say a short and sweet hello, ask how his sports (or ballet) obsession is going. Then cut the conversation short. Try not to let him see you/ hear about you with the other guy, for as long as you can.
